Feel free to disagree with me, but I think I see some improvement here 
My thanks go to my motivation to stay up until two in the morning to draw on a regular basis during the last year, as well as my general motivation to draw every single day (although not always until two in the morning).

There's definite improvement in usage of value, colour, line, contrast, and shadows. Your drawing style has greatly (and for the better) matured. The only thing I dislike, is that in the original, the shirt seems to have more detail, in terms of lines, wrinkles. Then again, the shirt in the new one is dark, and I have a dark screen, so take what I say about that with a grain of salt.
Over all, I'd say you've improved dramatically, your quality has gone up, and you can tell you've been practising, and adjusting and trying out new styles.
